Microsoft: Xbox One X Not for Everyone
Trying to catch up with the main competitors - Sony, which seems to dominate the current generation of console market competition, Microsoft does have a tough task. Slowly but surely, beyond some provocative policies such as canceling Scalebound development for example, they are starting to find momentum. From maintaining and continuing to support backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games to release Xbox One S with UHD capable Blu-ray Player Player, they are now ready to deal with Playstation 4 Pro with latest product - Xbox One X. Iteration generation that is not only slimmer , but more powerful than Sony's console.
But for Microsoft, Xbox One S - the variant "slim" will still be the spearhead of them. This was revealed by Phil Spencer in his latest interview with GameSpot. He mentioned that this variant will remain a market leader. He is more affordable, and he will play all the Xbox One games without problems, which of course makes it a very selling product. While on the other hand, Xbox One X he sees as a console that is not intended for "everyone". He calls it similar to the Xbox One Elite control that was also released by Microsoft.
That the console with this 4K capability he calls will appear just as "Choice". He will tease in the eyes of gamers who do want a high-end play experience. The market will be directed not to gamers who just enjoy casual video games, but those who do make gaming as the number one hobby. Especially considering Xbox One X also called Spencer, will provide benefits for gamers who have not turned to 4K television.
Xbox One X itself is scheduled to be released on November 7, 2017. How about you? How many of you are interested to glance at the console for around USD 500?
