Robin or also called The Boy Wonder has accompanied Batman throughout his journey to The Dark Knight.Here is a list of 5 Robin you should know!
1. Richard John “Dick” Grayson / Dick Grayson
Dick Grayson was the first to use Robin's identity. Before using Robin's cloak, Dick was an acrobatic player along with his parents. The acrobatic group Dick and his family are quite famous, thus having a nickname "The Flying Grayson".
Unfortunately, in one of their performances, Dick's parents were murdered by a mob boss named Tony Zucco. Bruce Wayne or what we know as Batman, saw the tragic incident and decided to take care of Dick Grayson and make him his adopted son.
This is where Dick's career as Robin begins. When he became the adopted son of Bruce Wayne and knew Batman's identity was Bruce Wayne, Dick started practicing with Bruce and made him the first to use The Boy Wonder's cloak.
As time went on, Dick's age grew up. Maturity is on him began to grow. Dick, who felt he was old enough, decided to leave his identity as Robin and make a new identity as Nightwing.
2. Jason Peter Todd/Jason Todd
From some Robin stories, you could say Jason Todd is Robin who has the most tragic story among other Robin. Why? Because Jason Todd has been killed by the batman's immortal villain, the Joker.
Born in an unharmonious family, Jason grew up on the streets of Gotham as a bummer. Jason's first encounter with Batman was when Jason was spotted by Batman trying to steal Batmobile tires at Crime Alley (The murder of Bruce's parents). Seeing Jason's life so miserable, Bruce decides to take care of Jason.
Jason becomes the second person to use Robin's identity. Growing up in Gotham city streets, Jason became a Robin who was much different from Robin before. Jason has a more rugged character. Jason's easy manipulation made himself killed by the Joker,
The most tragic thing at the time of Jason's murder was when Jason was tortured using a crowbar before being killed by the Joker.
Geoff Johns as CCO of DC Comics has confirmed that the cloak belongs to Jason Todd.
A few years after Jason Todd's death, Jason was re-enacted using Lazarus Pit, then returned to the Gotham city using a new identity of Red Hood. His mission is to kill the Joker and take the role of Batman as the protector of Gotham city, but using the opposite way with Batman by killing his targets.
The return of Jason Todd as Red Hood in Gotham, making the relationship between Bruce and Jason quite complicated. Jason always hated the way Bruce handled his enemies by not killing him. In addition Jason is also disappointed why Bruce did not take his revenge to Joker after Joker kills him. This disappointment made him never come back with Batman.
Despite his disappointment, Jason just did not want to admit that sometimes he missed being a Robin again.
this robin has a slightly different story. Tim is Robin who has a better story than his predecessors. At the beginning, Tim did not lose his parents nor grow on the streets. Tim is an ordinary child who has a very high obsession in revealing the true identity of Batman and Robin.
Tim is also one of Robin who is very fond of Batman. The proof after Batman's death in the Final Crisis event, Tim is the one who can not accept it at all and believes that Batman does not just die. In the end Tim decides to travel alone to find evidence that Bruce is still alive.

4. Stephanie Brown
Stephanie Brown is the lover of Tim Drake. Maybe he is the one who uses the shortest of Robin's identities. It starts with the unfolding of Tim Drake's identity as Robin by his Team's Dad. It caused Tim to take off Robin's robes and lead a normal life.

5. Damian Wayne
Damian Wayne is the son of Bruce Wayne's relationship with Talia al Ghul who is also the daughter of one of Batman's greatest enemies Ra's al Ghul. Damian was trained by his grandfather as a mercenary since his childhood, therefore he has become a great fighter before being trained by Batman. Now Damian acts as Teen Titas leader in Teen Titans Rebirth comics.
The interesting here is that Damian was once Robin, but his mentor was not Bruce Wayne, but Dick Grayson. After Batman's death at the Final Crisis event, Damian becomes Robin with Dick Grayson as Batman.
Damian and Dick Grayson have a unique dynamic when compared to Batman and Robin usually. Layman Batman is a serious figure, while Robin is more humorous. Dick Grayson as Batman still maintains his character as Nightwing, while Damian who has a background trained by the League of Assassins is even more brutal.
