EA again closed the game studio.
Today Electronic Arts announced that the developer of the Dead Space series, Visceral Games will be closed along with a Star Wars game developer, directed by veteran Uncharted series, Amy Hennig.
Executive Vice President Patrick Soderlund said that EA decided to change the course of the latest Star Wars game previously mentioned will focus on story and linear adventures. Mentioned that this game will have a slick visual with the world of Star Wars who live like the original series in Lucasfilm-made movies, but with a design that was replaced to better reach all circles. This game will also provide a wider and deeper experience of Star Wars adventures. Although it sounds not so clear, but it seems EA will change the bow of this game to be designed as an open world game.
The development of this game will be handled by other unnamed EA developers under EA Vancouver leadership who have worked on this game. EA also said that they will move Visceral Games staff to other EA studios and projects.
Closing Visceral Games as well as replacing EA's plans to release its Star Wars game previously released in fiscal 2019 (between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019). EA mentioned that they will be looking for another time to release this game and will soon be announced when they are ready. While there is no clarity whether Amy Hennig is still the director of this game or replaced by others.

Visceral Games (formerly EA Redwood Shores) was founded in 1998 and has released popular games such as Dante's Inferno, Dead Space series, Battlefield Hardline. Hopefully with the closing of this studio, former Visceral staff can get a better studio.
