Former Visceral Games Member Says That Dead Space Sales 2 4 Million Copy Still Not Satisfactory EA

EA is not satisfied with the sale of Dead Space 2.
Continuing the closing story of Visceral Games, Zach Wilson, a former Visceral Games member (now he works in Bethesda) as well as Level Designer Battlefield Hardline and Star Wars say some interesting information about their franchise, Dead Space 2.

Through his personal twitter account, Zach said that the sale of Dead Space 2 as much as 4 million copies is still not enough for Electronic Arts. Although he did not say whether the game was profitable or not, he said that the games they made did not meet EA's expectations. Zach also added that the game is made with funds of about 60 million dollars has a performance that is not good enough.

The fact behind Dead Space 2 that does not meet the expectations of EA may be explained will be the number of microtransaction that exist in Dead Space 3. And because Dead Space 3 does not become a game that is quite successful commercially, then EA decided to turn off its franchisee. Therefore maybe we will never see Dead Space 4 in the future

This is an interesting thing, we can know how "greedy" the publishers to their franchise. Sadly, the franchise sales expectations will be more important to the publisher and will guarantee the existence of a new franchise / sequel to the game.
