Veterans RTS game soon presents a new RTS game. Game from specialist Real Time Strategy developer, Petroglyph (founded by some former Westwood Studios members disbanded by EA) today announced his latest RTS game Forged Battalion. This game is called a strategy game that focuses on the customization of the unit and the building of your own fraction.
Through the trailer below which is complete with the RTS game of the 90s game-style game of Command & Conquer, Petroglyph shows that each of your units is capable of installing several kinds of equipment such as weapons to additional armor. You will act as a rebel army that will retake your world from a military force called The Collective at the end of the 21st century.
Reporting from PC Gamer, Petroglyph said that this game will have a 'persistent tech tree' where the resources you get in each battle will be accumulated to open a new blueprint. Forged Battalion will also present a co-op and competitive multiplayer that can accommodate up to eight players. Superweapon a la Command & Conquer will also be present in this game becomes the most deadly weapon to crush your enemies. This game is also said to be support Steam Workshop, so for you who have creative brain can make mod to add custom skin, unit, or other addition to fraction or gamemu as a whole.
Forged Battalion will be released in 2018 as Steam Early Access with five campaign missions, multiple multiplayer modes, up to five multiplayer maps. Petroglyph plans to do Early Access this game for six months only.
For those of you who do not know, Petroglyph is a studio founded by former staff of Westwood Studios (Command & Conquer series, Bladerunner). This studio focuses on making game strategy that currently this genre still looks sluggish in the market because of the interests of today's gamers are more inclined to action games. Some of his work such as 8-Bit Armies to AAA game Gray Goo make it one of their efforts to revive the classic Real Time Strategy genre they have mastered for years.
